Ive realized my true ability in cooking. Its not a simple his food tastes good. Theres not much recognition in that from the culinary world. Anyone can make something edible taste good somehow. My talent is resourcefulness. I can take limited ingredients and turn them into a decent meal. I can find substitutes and use them in a way to make the dish still work. Im not usually one to boast, but I am proud to have finally realized that I have a legitimate reason to call myself a cook.
