Ive realized over the years that there are generally two types of people in the gym: The ones who use horrible form 100% of the time, and the ones who use the strictest possible form and are still lifting the same baby weights they were lifting two years ago. I believe that we should strive to find a balance between both of them. Generally speaking, we should always practice proper form, however sometimes you just gotta say YOLO and load up the friggin bar! On movements such as BARBELL ROWS, CURLS, LATERAL RAISES etc. super strict form can LIMIT you! If youve been stuck at the same weight on these movements for a long time, consider adding some SLIGHT body english to eek out some more reps/add more weight, but ONLY if you know what youre doing in the gym and youve mastered proper form in the first place!!
