Ive really enjoyed connecting and reconnecting with all of you. Conversations here bring almost-forgotten memories vividly back to life. Judging from the thread topics and responses, most of us are over 40, reminiscing about our golden childhoods and youth. Some of us have moved away; others still in NE Ohio. Im struck, each year I visit, at the increased traffic and changing face of Mayfield Hts. Recently, a radical plan was unveiled to reshape much of Mayfield Road, ushering in even more change. The Mayland area is run down (though to be honest, it was already looking shabby as far back as the 1970s) and needs to be redeveloped. Time marches on - I wonder what the kids currently growing up in Mayfield Hts will think 20-30+ years from now, and what will become of Mayfield Hts?
