Ive really loved the posts that Ive seen from this group, so far. it is great to see comments from Muslims that this has helped them to maintain their faith in humanity at such a horrible time. I think it is important that, as non Muslims supporting Muslims, we maintain a space where Muslim people are able to express themselves fully, even if what they have to say makes us non Muslims uncomfortable. In my opinion, caring and showing support for people includes allowing them to be honest and frank about the pain, anger and fear that they are experiencing, and being understanding about them expressing that anger and pain, without trying to whitewash it in order to make us non Muslims feel comfortable. To do otherwise seems, to me, to be just a more subtle form of the discrimination that we aim to overcome. In short, when a Muslim person is expressing anger about their treatment by a non Muslim, that does not mean that they are angry at all non Muslims, so dont take it that way!!
