Ive seen a lot of prayers and amens floating around FB recently. After centuries of humanity praying for an end to poverty, famine, greed, etc. and for world peace, maybe its time that we realised that prayer doesnt work and the big man in the sky aint gonna save us form ourselves. Maybe its time for humanity to take its future into its own hands. Why not stand up, look at the world in the face; see the beauty and the horror; face up to the fact we have a short time on earth and are not here to suffer; try to see what unites us, rather than letting them divide us; try to get along with each FFS! Then we can see what happens after that. If there is a heaven and you spent your life a god person, how can you be denied access? If there is no after life, then at least you enjoyed life and left your children with a future.
