Ive seen lots of people post this video, and I wish that I could like it... but the fact is that this is just needlessly dangerous. Every horse spooks on occasion, and if that happened with this little girl leading as shes doing, she would be trampled. Heck, if she just tripped -- which isnt that unlikely, given how young she is -- the horse might step on her body, trip over her, etc. Theres a well-established safe technique for leading a horse -- with the human on the left side of the head, with right hand near the halter and the left hand holding the slack -- for precisely this reason. It minimizes the risk. Thats the way that leading should be taught to kids and people unfamiliar with horses. Its also the way for even the most experienced rider to lead any unfamiliar, skittish, or misbehaving horse -- always. Later, when a person has more experience and understanding -- including a constant awareness of the horses mood and actions, even when not directly in the line of sight -- they can be more lax with a relaxed horse without much extra risk. But until then... OY.
