Ive seen many, many of my friends share the post that says instead of saying Happy Holidays, I will say Merry Christmas! Great. I think thats wonderful that you are not afraid to say Merry Christmas. The problem Im seeing, though, is that when someone does say Happy Holidays, a bunch of self-righteous people get all offended and start telling the offender that they should be saying Merry Christmas... ? It was people who chose to be offended about something that was meant to be a cheerful and loving statement (Merry Christmas) that caused all of this. How does acting JUST LIKE THEM by getting offended about something that is Also meant to be a cheerful and loving statement (Happy Holidays) supposedly better? So, Im going to say Merry Christmas when I feel like it, and Im going to say Happy Holidays when I feel like it.
