Ive seen more and more people saying things that suggest that we must overthrow government because it is too oppressive. If you are one of those people, I would like to know: How exactly does one overthrow government? Even if you put a bullet between the eyes of every politician and every other employee of the State, youd have done NOTHING to eliminate government (and by the way, if that is what you actually advocate, you are out of your mind!). Do that and people will just find a way to form a new government or governments and you will be right back where you started. Why is this, you might ask? It is because government is not an individual or group of individuals, nor is it a physical object or group of physical objects or any combination thereof. Government is nothing more than a belief. Government is the belief that SOME human beings can have the moral right (or authority) to rule over OTHER human beings. To say that we must overthrow government sounds about as logical to me as saying we must overthrow Santa Claus. You cant overthrow a belief! If you wish to rid the world of government, what you must do is find ways to get people to give up their belief in government. Do this, and government will vanish like a fart in the wind. ~Chris Chew
