Ive seen person after person make the claim they were taught by the Holy Spirit. People use it all the time like its some kind of exemption card that gives them a free ride through any false doctrine that they wish to promote. But God is not the author of confusion. The Holy Spirit will never contradict the word of God and if the spirit that is teaching you seems to be ignorant of scripture then I can assure you you are not being taught by the Holy Spirit. If your word does not line up with His word then all the professions of spirit lead teaching in the world will not justify what you are saying. The proof is always in your teachings and your actions! Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.James 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
