Ive seen teachers put tennis balls on the feet of seats. However, that is a bit costly for me. I purchased some felt for $5 from the local thrift store and with some careful cutting of the felt and some rubber bands (two per foot), I made a double layer of felt for the feet of each chair in my classroom. That is a total of 152 felted feet. It took most of the day; however, it will be so nice not to hear the feet of the chairs scraping on the floor as the students slide in and out of their seats. Time well spent.
