Ive sent a complaint to the BBC over what was a disgusting lack of impartiality and their political editor outright lying in his story on the 6 OClock News. On this evenings edition of the 6 OClock News, your senior political editor Nick Robinson reported on his encounter with Scotlands First Minister Alex Salmond at the international Edinburgh Press Conference. He not only edited out the first of two questions he asked in that session which was on RBS, Standard Life and Lloyds moving South in the event of a Yes vote in next Thursdays referendum, but he also ignored Mr. Salmonds over 3 minute answer to both questions which were seen and heard by those who watched the conference live on News 24, or when it was subsequently uploaded to YouTube. Perhaps Mr. Robinson wishes to hide the fact that he rudely heckled Mr. Salmond before Mr. Salmond explained in detail the legal problems that arose from a Treasury leak to the BBC, but to claim that Mr. Salmond gave no answer and merely attacked the reporting is an outright lie, and shows no editorial balance in what is the final week before Scotland goes to the ballot box and a completely insulting act of contempt towards impartial journalism. For the interest of clarity, this was Nick Robinson claiming on the 6 OClock News that he received No answer to his question (he actually asked two) and instead The First Minister attacked the reporting https://youtube/watch?v=enrdDaf3uss Here are Nick Robinsons questions (and subsequent heckling) and Alex Salmonds answers as they happened live on BBC News 24 earlier today. https://youtube/watch?v=rHmLb-RIbrM
