Ive shared this blog before. The subject of our loved animal companions came up from another post this evening, so Im posting it again with an excerpt and with some photos of Sweet Pea, Sutra and Climber in comments that Ill add below the blog. Here is an excerpt: All the patience that we may be able to give animals can be granted to ourselves and other people. Human beings are complex; humans hide and disguise their fears, pain, losses, and uncertainties in ways that do not reflect their own true hearts. Individuals may be difficult and we could quickly ignore what we do not like, not seeing the possibilities for change and not seeing how we limit such possibilities in ourselves and others. And we miss out the wisdom in such. When we open up to every difficulty – every painful encounter, every disturbing persons, we begin to understand that searching for peace may be misplaced when there is peace that is available right here now. And that this may be available for every sentient being.
