Ive spent the last couple of hours watching short youtube videos of Military Veterans stories. One video leads you to another. I listened to Kate Smiths first radio broadcast performance of God Bless America in 1938, while the storms of WWII were looming over the US. Then a stirring live rendition by Ray Charles, of America the Beautiful. Also a speech from General George Patton to the Third Army during WWII that I thought was very powerful, but in todays PC world, makes me wonder how it it still on YouTube! :-) My journey ended with this one, a collection of the Anthems of the United States Armed Forces. Ive always known the melodies, and some words, but I got chill bumps learning all the words to each of these. Thanks to all who have served and sacrificed, beginning in 1775, past, present and future! Yall are the backbone to our freedom.
