Ive taken the opportunity to meet with Mayor Chris Morrow on a few occasions, to talk about some of the issues I deal with as a paraplegic confined to a wheelchair. The main issue for me are the crosswalks and the fact that the majority of Gardner citizens simply ignore them! It happened to me again yesterday while crossing N Center, a car came within inches of hitting me and my dog. So what can you do? Its simple... Write an email, tell your story about trying to cross the street. The problem is, and the Mayor will tell you... Not enough citizens voice their opinion! Please take this opportunity to write to the mayor at: [email protected] and to the Public Works Director, Brian Faust at: [email protected] The guy that lives right next door to me has lived here for more than 20 years and everytime he visits City Hall to pay bills, hes complained about this particular crosswalk... But he didnt complain to the right people. If you want to make a difference, you need to voice your opinion, tell your story, let those in charge know whats going on in the city.
