Ive tried not to say anything about the whole Todd Gurley situation, but I as I read more info on this Bryan Allen guy, I have to share my opinion. Everyone has one and this is just mine. Many college athletes bring in MAJOR dollars to their universities and to the NCAA. The hypocritical NCAA can make all the money they want off of these kids, but the kids cant make money because they are amateurs. The Ed OBannon lawsuit basically determined this to be greed by the NCAA and is leading to some minor reform, but that doesnt help current players because those changes take place in 2016. As one who used to agree that receiving free tuition, books, room and board, etc. was compensation enough, I changed my stance after I had a kid in college and realized how expensive everything else really is. You look at what these student-athletes do every day, and they have no time to earn extra money. On top of that, you see the outrageous money the NCAA and universities are making off the items associated with these athletes. Its unbelievable. The athletes should be able to receive some of that income so they are not tempted to do what Gurley is accused of doing. The current system is both hypocritical and unfair. That said, all of the players are well aware of the rules and Gurley knew better. He is hurting himself and his team. However, I will not crucify him for a mistake that just about any 19-22 year old college kid would easily make. In fact, if someone will pay me to sign some stuff, I am all in! As for Bryan Allen- I saw where he made a statement about not wanting his name released because he lives in Georgia and would be in danger. Well JERK, you EARNED any danger you have brought upon yourself. I hope no one brings any harm to you, but it hope you are unable to sleep for fear of what some crazy fan would do if they found you. You have lied since the beginning in an effort to make a dollar. You lied to Gurley. No doubt you promised for this to be a little secret so you could make money off the items he signed. You then lied to several media outlets about your identity, but were to stupid to realize all of your electronic information was traceable. This stupidity is probably why your shop in Rome went out of business. Then you claim to want to release this information to make up for lost revenue. Then you claim you now want no money for this story and video. Scum like you deserve to live in fear. Where will you move? There are Georgia fans EVERYWHERE!! If everything is true, Gurley was wrong. You, however, were criminally wrong throughout your whole greedy process. I am proud the UGA suspended Gurley during this investigation. Despite his value to our team, they did the right thing. This is more than I can say of some schools. I applaud UGA, Notre Dame, and Florida for how they have handled recent issues with student athletes, and I strongly dislike ND and UF. I am still amazed at how the greedy NCAA jumps in with both feet if they miss out on a $$ but just about any other offense doesnt gain their interest. #GODAWGS #FREEGURLEY
