Ive tried to Stay Away from Using my Personal Facebook to campaign, but I will make an exception to officially back candidates for the other sabbatical positions. Ill start in reverse order, So with the Ayr Campus President. For Ayr Campus President, I am backing Rebecca Skinner. Ive worked with her closely over the past year and I feel that she will having the passion and fire to defend the Campus. Her ideas are solid and she will build on the great work done over the past year. For Hamilton Campus President, I am backing Fiona Sykes. While it is a race where no matter who you elect, Hamilton will be finely represented. From speaking to all of the candidates in the running, I feel that Fiona is most in tune with the role and that she will slip right into the organisation. Her ideas around Student Safety in particular are essential. For Sports & Societies, I am not backing either candidate. This is because Ive never met this RON before and I would feel bad if I backed Ryan Wood without at least talking to his opposition. For Depute President, I am backing EITHER Cammie Mathieson or Lauren Miller. Ive been struggling with this over the past few days as both would be amazing at the role. Cammie as he would bring a direct bluntness to the role that is needed, his manifesto looking like a cover letter being as much prove as is needed, with having the skill and finesse to back it up. Lauren on the other hand brings with her a calmness and approachable personality that is needed with the role. In addition, her ideas are sound and easily mesh with my ideas of Student Involvement and Interaction. And For Student President, I backing myself of course.
