Ive watched more television in the recent of months than in my entire life thus far. What have I learned? Well… Lesson one. How I Met Your Mother is a show about Barney Stinson. I think there are other people on the show and that its supposed central theme is about some guy meeting the mother of his children or something. That, however, has been subsumed by the far more entertaining keeper of the suits, legendary catch phrases, awesome rules and high-fives, Neil Patrick Harris character, Barney Stinson. Lesson two. There is far, far too much of the following: Lawyer & bad drug adverts, drug advert, personal care product adverts, reality shows, judge shows, Jerry Springer wanna-bes, and progressivism. Lesson three. DVRs make television somewhat tolerable. Lesson four. Patrick Warburton is tall. Lesson five. Its much easier to say spiffy things at just the right moment when you have a script, teams of writers, and the ability to retake each scene. Lesson six. The Weather Channel is full of itself. Lesson seven. Even with approximately 900 channels, a 6-tuner DVR and several terabytes of storage, there are fewer than five shows Im actually interested in and entertained by.
