Ive watched this film a couple times, very good. Its all in Russian but as you can see, there are subtitles. But this definitely put into perspective the quality of Hollywood (which it wasnt filmed by) and the obstacles the Church has gone through in recent years. Its about a Russian priest, in WWII time, who is assigned to serve in an overrun village in the Zakat, Yaroslavl region. The church in the village had been changed into a movie theatre, theres a nearby concentration camp with many captive to be ministered to, he brings a Polish Jew with him lest she be killed, the Nazis were in their prime. This movie inspired perseverance in your faith. We are going through rough times but we must persevere as our forefathers and mothers did. Its also cool cuz I dont see very many Orthodox influences in modern films.
