Ive watched this production a few times in the last month or so and in watching this man (who I consider the father of Hip Hop and Spoken Word) work, Ive realized, even more than before, that the criticisms, comparisons, and tons of advice given from those whove accomplished nothing, has no bearing on my decisions when it comes to MY art. Being able to convey a message through words and touch at least one person while doing so is a great accomplishment...especially in the super information age we live in now where everything is compressed, microwaved, and spat out via the internet, as well as media outlets, with such haste. I do what I do in hopes that those who decide to indulge will, not only be entertained, but take something from it and use it to help themselves and others.---WJ #artfirstnoexceptions
