Ive yet to see any debates on this topic that amount to much. They usually amount to wild claims and counterclaims based on caricatures and a limited exposure to the relevant literature. Charles Johnsons original article on thick remains mostly unread. My own contribution here is rarely commented on with any degree of precision. The thins set up thick straw men and knock them down, while failing to acknowledge their own thickness. Interlocutors are more interested in screaming for traffic rather than actually discussing ideas. Plus , there is this weird underlying presumption that libertarianism is some kind of membership-based church into which you are either admitted or excluded. It all seems rather pointless actually.
