Ivey on the Move continued to Cullman County Friday! Sen. Paul Bussman was kind enough to host me in his hometown. We visited with business and community leaders at a popular eating spot, Busy Bee Cafe. We then had the opportunity to take a student-led tour at West Point Intermediate School highlighting the schools recent technology upgrades thanks to a state education grant. With the funds, the administration purchased a 3-D printer and more iPads and laptops for classrooms. The students are so well-spoken, well-mannered, and overall very impressive! We finished the day touring the state-of-the-art nursing facility at Wallace State Community College. The simulation center gives nursing students hands-on experience. Community colleges are vital to training our future workforce. 51 percent of Alabama nurses graduate from community colleges. #IveyontheMove
