I’M A PILGRIM “…These all died in FAITH, not having the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that THEY were STRANGERS and PILGRIMS on the EARTH…”-Heb.11:13, 1-40; 10:32-39; Acts.9:1-25 Oh, how glorious it was. I thank GOD, through Jesus Christ, our Lord who has delivered me from the body of death. I’m a Pilgrim, I met Jesus as my Lord on Damascus Federal Highway and was delivered from the Body of Death at the Cross as Jesus becomes my Personal Lord & Saviour. I’m a Pilgrim, got blind on my spiritual birthday. Hmmm, should I go back because this disheartening? But that voice was Loving and his face was Glorious. I’m a pilgrim, and I want to see that glorious loving LORD,JESUS nad be like himand see him as he is and for this sole purpose, as a PILGRIM, I’ll not GO BACK. I’m a PILGRIM, even Ananias need more convictions to believe that I’m converted, should I go back because no one cares for me in STRAIT STREET? But He knew and called my name and came to me on Damascus Highway when the church couldn’t dare approach me because of my tyrant and murderous nature. Because of my Saviour’s LOVE shown to me; the Chiefest of Sinners, though I didn’t merit it, as a PILGRIM, I’ll not LOOK BACK. I’m a PILGRIM, my Mentor Ananias calls me Brother Saul. Oh me that killed his Brother Stephen being called Brother. Hmm , so somebody Loves me and I thought of backsliding. Hey, wait a minute, he even placed his warm loving hands on me, on me, his worst enemy few days ago. Ah, what’s happening, my eyes have opened, HALLELUYAH. JESUS! What tongue I’m speaking which I’ve never learnt before. I’m feeling strange within, is this sulphuric acid burning within me? Hey, the Promise of the Father, I’m filled with the Holyghost. Thank God, I didn’t look back because I’m a PILGRIM and thus, I’ll not SLIDE BACK. I’m a PILGRIM; behold the Religious JEWS have sought to slay me for Preaching the Everlasting GOSPEL. Is this what Christianity is all about? Should I fight back, backslide or quickly commit suicide or...? Hmm, but LOVING JESUS Delivered me from the Body of Death and I know and believe He’ll deliver me from the Messengers of Death and for this sole purpose, as a PILGRIM, I won’t DIE BACK nor FIGHT BACK. Thank God for my Loving nephew and the GREAT LOVE of my Christian Brethren(faithful disciples) who let me down by the wall in the basket at night. Thank God I overcame the widespread “There’s No Love” syndrome thought. I’m a PILGRIM, and even if No one LOVES me, I’ll not forget the LOVE my LORD & SAVOIUR, JESUS showed on Damascus Highway to Hell when his “MERCIES SAID NO”. I’m a PILGRIM and thus, I’ll not GO BACK, SLIDE BACK, DIE BACK, MOVE BACK OR FIGHT BACK but will only FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH AND WAR A GOOD WARFARE. Beloved Pilgrims, I believe we haven’t suffered what Apostle Paul faced or suffered for the Gospel’s sake not Sin’s sake, then why should we Look back. Pilgrims, let us daily be like the Heroes of Faith “who all died in FAITH (not in backsliding& compromise), not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off and were persuaded of them and embraced them” and follow their pattern by daily confessing that we are STRANGERS & PILGRIMS on this EARTH. For all who will say such things like the Heroes of Faith should declare plainly (in/by WORDS, ACTIONS, THOUGHTS, CONVERSATIONS& CONVICTIONS, HEART&HABITS) that they seek a country. And truly, let us not be mindful of that country {sin,wordly positions, dressings, politics, praises of men, etc} from whence we came out, else we’ll have Great Opportunity to GO BACK. But now, let’s daily DESIRE {both in Prayers, Passions, Purity, Preaching, Principles, Practices and Positions} a better country, that is, a HEAVENLY: wherefore GOD is not ashamed to be called our GOD: for He hath Prepared for us a CITY.
