I’d like to give you some information about myself and what I‘ve been doing in the community since my wife Gloria and I moved here from Fernie in December of 2000. • Baynes Lake Volunteer Fire Dept. 2000 to 2013, including 3 years as Fire Chief. I was the last “Volunteer Fire Chief”. I was instrumental in talks with the RDEK which led to hiring the first Full Time Fire Chief for the South Country (Area B). • South Country Safety Committee. We negotiated with the Province, Lumber Companies, and Emergency Services to install traffic lights at the 4 corners. • BC Hydro Consultative Committee. For 9 years we dealt with the Elko Dam and the Sink Hole issues to maintain proper ground water levels in the Baynes Lake area. • Columbia River Treaty Committee. Active and current representative for Area B. The goal is to achieve recognition for Area B within the new treaty. • Official Community Planning Committee. As a committee member I worked with Area B residents to develop regulations and By-Laws to govern future development. • RDEK Area B Planning Commission. A Board member for 10 years, 6 years as Chairperson and Alternate Area B Director. On the APC I work with other Area B appointees on issues involving Subdivisions, Regulations and By-Laws. My work background includes 35 years with BC Tel and Telus and more recently owning and operating a business - Isosceles Communications Inc. Over the years I have developed broad organizational and budgeting skills and the ability to work well with others. I have been involved in my community for the past 15 years and would like to continue with that involvement. Area B (the South Country) is a vibrant and rapidly changing area with many diverse interests and activities. As your Director I will be able to make decisions that would benefit all aspects of all our communities. ELECT STAN DOEHLE-YOUR BEST CHOICE FOR AREA B DIRECTOR NOV.15
