I’d like to throw a stone in the pond (hoping not to wake the frog) as under the premise that only reflects my opinion regarding the haiku that produces copious not always result of a direct observation The idea is this reflection: how, despite having written, have never seen a lotus flower .... in person? It really is as white as the photos show? If scented, do it has got fragrance? How many sunsets described, even if supported by a photo taken by others, were really lived by those who write? This is where the question (that appeal primarily to myself): how many haiku are the result of a personal experience, live and how many are induced by literary images or iconic than others? How many times when, struck by an exotic or sophisticated word we have embroidered around a composition? How many times we have written with the sole intent to surprise, to collect a like? How many haiku then are the result of our need for beauty, to imagine the positive while inside us there is an inner hurricane or in outside there is war and becomes unbearable in each write/read haiku that alienate the malaise? To read here and there I seem to catch many also beautiful style exercises, but many seem emphasized if not divorced from the experience of the writer. Somewhere I read that Hai-ku meant word by wanderer and this definition that when I can, I try to stay true not fancy The traveler writes of what he has experienced by first hand, what he saw happening outside or inside, then tries to give shape to a feeling, an emotion, a thought ... .. all stuff his no other wayfarers of lands other than that he is pursuing. This will keep the originality, authenticity and freshness of the composition, so you avoid repeating stereotypes to do queue to other, so is made something that keeps value (first of all, for themselves) Mind you, nothing is not easy but its worth it. And now get me well the stones but you dont will hit me, because I do not live in the pond.
