I’d say that most of YOU SELFISH HYPOCRITICAL PRICKS don’t - TopicsExpress

I’d say that most of YOU SELFISH HYPOCRITICAL PRICKS don’t give a shit about anyone but yourself. Now that I have your attention ☺ Here is why the minimum wage SHOULD NOT be raised/set at a national level. Bob’s business has three workers. Each worker makes $5/hour and therefore Bob pays $15/hour in salary expenses. All of a sudden minimum wage is increased to $10/hour, and if Bob wants to keep his workers he would then have to pay $30/hour in salary expenses which Bob cannot afford. Unfortunately, Bob has to fire at least one employee, but will most likely fire two. So now, one lucky employee makes double what he had before, and the other two employees are now unemployed. I’m positive they would rather have a job that pays less than have no job at all. Bigger corporations like McDonalds can afford to pay more, they simply don’t want to and they will find a way to maintain the same efficiency with less people working at the store—like their new automated order box. There is a poverty crisis, and unfortunately, raising the minimum wage is not the “quick fix” everyone is hoping for. The answer and solution to abolishing poverty is EDUCATION—understanding why there is poverty. First I’ll state the obvious. There is poverty because the money one is earning/receiving is not sufficient to support their needs (housing, food, school, water, etc.). The prices of these commodities are increasing at exponential rates which poor people, and even people of median income, can no longer afford. To grasp an idea of the how f**ked the inflation spectrum is: In 1960, the average cost of a home was between $10,000 and $20,000. The same home now ranges between $450,000 and $700,000. That’s an increase of 4,500%. In 1960, TOP ranking universities charged $2,000 (about $1,000 for state universities), now the tuition for these schools is between $40,000 and $50,000. That’s in increase of 2,000% to 2,500%. In 1960, the minimum wage was $1.00. Now it’s $8.00—an increase of 800% as opposed to 4,500% and 2,500%. This means that the ACTUAL MINIMUM WAGE (adjusted for inflation) has been cut to about 3/10th of what it was in relation to the cost of buying a home. But since we can’t raise the minimum wage to $45/hr, maybe the better solution would be to fix this whole inflation thing, and the best way to do that is to understand the monetary policy and how the US mint and the Federal Reserve profit from everything from loans and poverty all the way to the wars in the middle east generating trillions of dollars for them at the cost of, you guessed it, ALL OF US! Fortunately with the creation of YouTube, this process doesn’t have to be boring—check this out…. youtube/watch?v=tGk5ioEXlIM If you want to solve poverty in this nation—if you want to make this a better place for everyone to live, then YOU have to take responsibility—YOU have to educate yourself, and YOU have to be a more responsible citizen. But what you can’t do is throw the responsibility of things that really matter onto corrupt politicians. And remember, increasing the minimum wage will only make life better for a couple people, and the rest will suffer—including small business owners who will no longer be able to afford employees. Increasing the minimum wage only benefits large corporations by eliminating small businesses and therefore their competition. It’s just a means of mass deception. And yes, I was kidding about the selfish hypocritical pricks part ☺
