I’m beginning to understand why James said (I read the KJV, but I’m also reading The Message for perspective), James 1: 2-4 - Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. The heading is called “Faith Under Pressure.” There was a point in my life that I was so despondent that I was asking God why. Of course, I had one foot on the line, and the other foot ½” from the line. In other words, I was “straddling the fence”. However, as Isaiah 6:1 reads – In the year, Uzziah died … For me, it was in the year that my daddy died … It was time that my focus change from faith in man to the realization of an almighty God. I felt so lost during those years, although deep down, I knew that God was saying something. A lot of time has passed since then and now I find myself talking to others about similar situations. The lack of direction is gone. I don’t have the bitterness. I understand that God is in control and that we are to be transparent so that those who are going through … as they say, can identify with someone who has “been there, done that!” I said all of that to say, unless we go through certain things, we can’t truly say, “that’s when He blessed me!” youtu.be/riIlGFBLQcI
