I’m excited to recently have a number of alumni express their interest in becoming involved with the Helix Alumni Association! With additional people, we can launch the Association into a viable, visible, informative part of the Foundation. The key to our success is having the right people in the right places. Alumni are proving to be a great asset to Helix. Here are some areas we might consider developing: All Alumni Summer Picnic (recreate) Alumni Guest Speaker Program (fledgling program in place) Alumni Events including Homecoming Alumni website Alumni liaison people for campus departments i.e. athletics, drama, music, clubs, and staff Reunion advisor Alumni Newsletter Alumni Historian Please join us Wednesday, October 29th, 6:30 PM in the Helix Library. We will start with a presentation of the Excellence in Education program highlighting the history and the accomplishments of students at Helix Charter High School. Our tour guide will be Jennifer Hull Osborn; alumna and staff member at Helix. In order to make this Association work, we need representation from ALL the classes…that’s 62! Please pass this invitation to a member or members of your class who might join us. Ready, willing, and able, but not available on Wednesday…let me know.
