I’m glad I took the AARP Smart Driver Course yesterday. I’m still not all that smart, but I did learn a few things. For example: (1) If you’re in a dead cell service area for 911, dial 112 and you’ll be connected to 911 (according to our instructor, but I didn’t check to make sure). (2) You should adjust your seat to keep a least 10 inches between your chest and the center of your steering wheel. (Airbags can cause serious injury while saving your life!) (3) Part of old Delsea Drive, now has center line rumble strips. (If you drift a little, they’ll get your attention.) There were lots of other goodies and reminders that could save lives-- your own and others. I recommend the course highly. It may also get you a discount from your auto insurance company.
