I’m not OK with you trying to explain to me why you hit my car? If you are going to talk or text and drive with a young child in the backseat who isnt wearing a seat belt and youre pre-occupied on your phone because you are talking with your husband, you better hope and pray a big scratch on your bumper is all that happened to you today. On our way to lunch, a driver rolled by a stop sign and did not stop or yield at the intersection struck my vehicle. My three passengers say they saw her on her phone. I remember I saw her approaching but, I didnt see her on her phone. She struck the back part of my Tahoe’s passenger side bumper. My truck had a small unnoticeable scratch. Her vehicle had a big scratch on her front bumper. She had a look of panic and fear when she ran out of her car holding her phone. She explained she was dealing with her husband on the phone and didnt see my Tahoe approaching the intersection. I told her I wasnt upset because my scratch was small. But, I told her that her vehicle had more damage. I also expressed to her she needs to pay attention while driving especially with a child in the car. I believe she was terribly lucky today. I dont believe she will be as lucky the next time. Folks, be careful, buckle up your kids and dont text and drive, it could save your life.
