I’m proud to stand with the workers of Market Basket. These united workers have put their livelihoods on the line, and risked being fired for standing up for what they believe is right. To me, the issue at hand is about standing with and protecting working men and women who have a right to be heard, and have a right to have a say in a workplace and their futures without the risk of termination simply because they allowed their voices to be heard. I hope for a speedy and reasonable resolution to the situation following the firing of CEO Arthur T. Demoulas, and ask the board of Market Basket to do what is right to get people back to work, and get our local stores back to serving our communities.
