I’m thankful for my youngest son, Samuel. A lot of people think that he was a ‘surprise’ baby…..no, he wasn’t….after all his name means ‘Asked of God’…….I could just never imagine having more than baby in diapers at one time ;) I was 39 when I met Samuel and what a joy he has been to us. I never minded getting up with him at night or holding him when he was a baby, because I knew those days would not last! He is a loving boy who really cares about people and wants to love them. He is funny-he loves to make us laugh. He loves his brothers. He and his oldest brother, who was almost 17 when they met, have such a special bond-when Kem & Abby moved to San Marcos, he told us he was going with them, cause Kem said he could and they were just going to miss each other too much. He & Cameron have a different relationship and I think that neither was prepared for how much they would miss each other. He is athletic and such a competitor! At age 1 he thought he was ready to play basketball, in fact his first word was ‘ball’. He began dance at age 5 and danced for 5 years. He began baseball at 9 and has never looked back! He plays all positions and plays them well! Our PE for school is almost ongoing with the baseball workouts that he does multiple times a day….one more benefit of homeschooling him. He is an outdoorsman- he has been hunting since he was 3, he loves the woods and all things in nature…..he’s shot more deer and hogs than both of his brothers! He is growing up and while I love the little boy he was, I am also loving the kid he is growing into- teenager, yikes….
