I’m very much saddened of brutal killing of Iligan Radio Announcer Nanding Solijon. Solijon a Hard Hitting Radio Anchorman was an ally of the Iligan previous administration led by Mayor Cruz and Congressman Belmonte, but was a stout opposing side of new administration led by Mayor Regencia. He lambasted Regencia’s inexperience political party during election including priest who calls for sobriety in using dirty political tactics. He criticizes the dynastic blueprints of the hard political Dimaporo family of Lanao Norte province. Because of his hard hitting style he gained adversaries and even meets head-on on air on some unnamed critics. Radio commentators theorized that the slaughter has a political panorama including the possible blockage and undermined the new administration’s bandwagon which is the “Peace and Order”, a machination to discredit the leadership of Mayor Regencia who continually gained momentum of popular support of the masses. My condolence to the family of Nanding and I hope and pray for the speedy delivery of justice.
