I’m working on a list of my favorite tracks of 2014 to share with you all. The reason I like highlighting songs and not albums is that they provide a more intimate snapshot of the feeling or emotion an artist is expressing. They are -in other words- the crème de la crème of the parts that make up an often incomplete or disjointed record (not that they all come from broken homes) and for that reason I choose to single out tracks. This is one of my favorites this year. The first time I heard it, something clicked… and I get this feeling - nostalgic almost- it’s sad and happy at the same time and its easy to get lost in it... like some of the best things, it leaves a bittersweet taste in your mouth.
