I’ve always been fascinated by a full moon. I get mesmerized - TopicsExpress

I’ve always been fascinated by a full moon. I get mesmerized when I look up and see this big, yellow and perfectly round moon up against the darkened sky. Oftentimes I would be awakened by its bright light peeping through my windows, as though it was beckoning me. And I would get up sometimes in the middle of the night just to bask in its light before going back to sleep. One time, I asked God casually why I’m so enthralled with the moon. His answer came immediately, as casually as I had asked my question — because it’s got no light of its own! The moon shines so brightly in the night, illuminating the darkness of the night enough to be seen by half the world. Yet it has no light of its own. It merely reflects the light from the sun. Then I realized that that’s how I should be — merely reflecting the “Son-shine” to help illuminate the lives of others and never trying to shine on my own or passing off the light as my own. I have been called to be a light in this world by reflecting Jesus, the Light of the World. Ronna
