I’ve been part of this group for a few weeks now and enjoyed reading everyone’s comments good or bad. I haven’t been to a speedway race since the Crewe Kings closed down back in the 70’s and I’ve only just got interested again. It’s taken me a while to understand tactical rides, jokers etc and I’m just about getting my head around how everything is these days. I fully intend to pay Wolverhampton a visit before the end of the season they are my nearest team. One thing I am having trouble dealing with is the fact that the top riders in British Teams also ride for other (European teams). This is a bit like going to see Manchester United on Saturday but then during the week the players go and play for Bayern Munich. Maybe I got that wrong. Anyway, I would like to ask everyone is team racing still what speedway is about or is the trend these days moved to individual events like the Grand Prix’s. In short is this now and individual sport or still a team sport?
