I’ve been very hard on WWE Creative lately. Frankly, they’ve earned it with their weak booking, bad storylines, and improbable matches not connected to any meaningful outcomes. I think every WWE fan, lately, has scratched their head at a match, an outcome, or a booking decision at least once or twice during Raw, so I’m not really going out on a limb here when I say that there are issues there. Down in Florida, however, where NXT is based, it’s like a whole other company and the one thing I expect out of NXT is quality. It would be ridiculous of me to say they always deliver, but it’s not ridiculous of me to say they have a much better record of delivering on a week after week basis than their “big brothers” do, and I watched NXT Takeover, the third live special in the history of the developmental company, expecting it to be great.
