I’ve heard it said “The World Is a Play, and We Are ALL Actors.” Don’t rule out the Directors. The Self-made, home gowned, Psychoanalysis. Most of which have obtained their PHD’s from the school of hard knocks and common sense. There are a host of insights implied which are not part of mainstream psychoanalytic thinking. Perhaps the most fundamental implication is that the first challenge for humankind—and for psychoanalysts and their patients—lies with the kind of wisdom they will recruit for coping with life’s emotionally charged traumas and the neuroses that they engender. This is the problem of knowledge acquisition and the key question centers on whether it will be divine in nature. Carnal conscious emotion-processing minds are saturated with denial and thus inadequate and often misleading when it comes to emotion-related problem solving 101. On the other hand, divine wisdom truly is God given. Well after all, opinions are like Ass……, we all happen to be equal there, seeing everyone’s has One!
