I’ve kept my vote very close to my chest during the whole - TopicsExpress

I’ve kept my vote very close to my chest during the whole debate, mainly because I didn’t want to be drawn into arguments on nights out; those who succeeded in doing so were punished … Michael Young. However, as much as I don’t believe in the biased analysis, propaganda and misinformation that appears on here to try and sway people, I do want to declare my vote. I’ll be voting Yes, hopefully with the majority of the country. We’ve come too far now to vote No. If you think for a second that the bribes the 3 major parties have been selling us in the last couple of weeks will come to pass, you’re kidding yourself on. The MPs who are going to be asked to pass legislation devolving further powers to Scotland (unfair in the mind of a large % of the rUK electorate) are the same ones who are going to have to retain their seats in a General Election next year; do you honestly think these career politicians are going to risk their livelihood? In the face of anti-Scottish sentiment in their constituencies, they’ll buckle; it’ll be that or look for a new job. It won’t be easy. There will be difficult decisions to be made now and in the future. Cuts will have to be made in order to better use funds elsewhere. It won’t be a left-wing utopia, but it will be as close to a fair and socialist society as it can be given the global economic reality we find ourselves in, and that’s all I can ask.
