I’ve never been able to articulate my feelings on this issue as well as this brave man has. But he mirrors my views exactly. Putting all the history of this situation aside, at what point do Israeli’s think that the continued crushing of Palestinians will bring peace to our own people? Even if you think Hamas will forever swear to destroy Israel, why wouldn’t you target the rest of the Palestinian population with fair solutions? The regular every day civilian parents, grandparents children etc’ could have been turned around by affording the basic necessities of life and dignity, which at this point are being held in the Israeli governments’ fist. Judging all Palestinians by the statements of Hamas is like judging all Israeli’s by Kach, or the Etsel, or Bibi. To me the situation is synonymous with keeping your hands on a person’s neck as you slowly strangle them and then yelling at them for fighting to get loose. I’m so shocked by the amounts of Israeli’s who don’t seem to realize that this path can NEVER lead to security. That at this point it will take a generation, but if there was even an attempt at fairness, if Palestinians didn’t wake up every morning to harassment, humiliation, brutality and the cruel faces of settlers and their actions, maybe they would actually have the time to stop hating us.
