I’ve shopped at Village Treasures - TopicsExpress

I’ve shopped at Village Treasures (https://facebook/inbartonvt) in Barton, Vermont for many years and have purchased antiques, pictures and books there. There’s always something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. I thank them for carrying my UP THE CREEK WITHOUT A SADDLE and NOAH’S SONG books. While shopping there today, I came across a copy of FIRST HARVEST, published by the Poetry Society of Vermont in 1954. The PSOV (poetrysocietyofvermont.org/) was established in 1947, so the book could be a collector’s item. As a member of the PSOV, I couldn’t resist, so I purchased the book. Tamra Higgins is the current President of the PSOV. Tamra, I’d be happy to donate the book to the PSOV for its archives. Let me know if the organization does not have this particular one. Village Treasure has numerous booths with lots of great stuff. My friend Elaine Miclette has one of the booths. It’s two thumbs up for Village Treasures and the Poetry Society of Vermont! Here are three pictures I took of FIRST HARVEST … the cover and a couple of the beautiful inside pages. Also tagging my friends Deb Fennell (former President of the League of Vermont Writers) and Ron Lewis (has largest collection of poetry books Ive ever seen!)
