I’ve truly been having fun trying to transform our yard. My husband really loved having it look natural, with meandering paths among our trees, which are stately and enormous. His motto was “if it’s green, it’s good” and I love living in this vibrant, forested corner or the world. I’ve taken out several small trees, and pruned away the undergrowth of many that remain. In the process, I’ve discovered that I’ve been able to preserve the foundation of his efforts, while allowing light and air to flow freely throughout the yard, which is still Michael’s shady oasis. I think he would “almost” approve at least I hope so! Oh, and sweet Sundog has been chief foreman but demands scheduled recreation breaks! Shes so helpful!
