J. Jackson, lead singer for ApologetiX here. Sorry to trouble - TopicsExpress

J. Jackson, lead singer for ApologetiX here. Sorry to trouble you again, but were in a bit of trouble ourselves. I sent a letter to fans Tuesday about the band having a number of serious bills due (and overdue) this week. The band is also still a few months behind on my paychecks, so thats caused my family to have some serious bills due (and overdue) this week, too. Some fans did give on Tuesday and Wednesday (and we are grateful), but we still have a very long way to go, and a very long list of bills to take care of. On Thursday, no funds came in -- either from CD sales or donations -- until 5:30 p.m. By the end of the day, wed received about $100. As of 3 p.m. Friday, only about $100 had come in for the day. Our bills have to paid, so I dont have any choice but to soldier on, like the Israelites rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem in Nehemiahs day, doing their work with one hand and holding a weapon in the other. I still believe the band and I are doing what were supposed to do. We get all sorts of suggestions and advice from others, and I do listen and pray often for wisdom, and I am not opposed to God taking us or me in a totally different direction. However ... My prayer time, Bible-study time, and fellowship at church have been great -- and God is enabling us to produce some of our best work ever in the studio. Weve already completed 35 songs in 2014, with a total of 48 in various stages of production, and many more still planned for later this year. Furthermore, we keep getting really encouraging emails from all over the world about our parodies reaching the lost and teaching the rest. We included some of those in todays newsletter, but weve just discovered that a number of Internet service providers are once again blocking our newsletters. As Paul said, We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; (2 Corinthians 4:8). I dont want to be like the kings officer in 2 Kings 7:2 who doubted Gods ability to provide in the midst of famine and said, Look, even if the Lord should open the floodgates of the heavens, could this happen? The next day the famine was over, but he wasnt around to appreciate it. If youd like to help, any of these four things will help: 1. Pray (its #1 on this list for a reason) 2. Get our CDs, songbook, or downloads at apologetix/store 3. Donate online at: apologetix/store/store-donate.php 4. Donate by check payable to ApologetiX and sent to ApologetiX, 208 Charlemma Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15214-1414 Although the donations arent tax deductible, they will be put to good use immediately. Thank you and God bless you. IMPORTANT: Many of you are facing financial hardships yourselves. If thats the case, please dont worry about giving to us. Instead, wed love to send you some free music downloads to encourage you. Just email me at j@apologetix and let me know. Seriously, we are happy to do that. J. J. Jackson ApologetiX (That Christian Parody Band)
