J & K Employees Joint Action Committee Head Office: Hotel Iqbal View Sarai Balla Srinagar Press Release An emergent session of Urban Local Bodies Employees united forum was held at Sgr, under the president ship of its president, Manzoor Ahmad Pampori , in which members from all Municipal Committees and Councils participated . The leaders in the meeting discussed about the pending demands of employees working in urban local bodies’ deptt. Such as Pending salary of employees especially of Safia Karamcharies, implementation of service rules and reorganizations in the department, release of B4 budget according to service rules and reorganization, release of arrears of 6th pay commission framing of seniority list of every cadre, issuance of SR043 and time bound cases, DPC at divisional and state level regularization of Adhoc Dailywagers and consolidated workers in the Deptt. Clear cut transfer policy & other issues. It was decided that forum will continue its struggle till all the issues and demands of the employees are solved. Although the president of the forum along with the sr. leader of JCC, president EJAC, Mr. Ab Qayoom Wani approached to chief sect. Mohd Iqbal Khanday and other high officials of the Deptt. To solve these cases. But unfortunately nothing has been done so for. It was decided in the meeting that forum will start to agitational program again from 19th Aug. According to the program the office bearers of the forum will protest at Directorate Office Sgr. Their will be pendown/tooldown strike in all municipal committees and councils on 19th & 20th Aug, Safai Karamcharies will perform their duties only in the mourning shift and there will be no work in the evening shift. On 20th Aug, the leaders from unit, Distt. and state level will protest at srinagar and a memorandum regarding the pending issues will be given to Divisional Commissioner Kashmir. Manzoor Ahmad Pampori declared that if they failed to solve the demands of the employees the activists of the forum from every district will start “Jail Baro Tehreek”at srinagar. This program will continue Distt. Wise from 26th of Aug 2013. The leaders of the forum have appealed Hon’ble CM OMAR ABDULLAH, Minister for Housing Nawang Rigzing Jora, Chief Sec. Mohd Iqbal Khanday, Commissioner sec Housing Jeet Lal Gupta & Director urban Local Bodies Shafat Noor , to look into the long pending and genuine demands of employees.
