J&K RTI Movement strongly condemns the announcement of state assembly Election dates. The announcement of dates and its preparations will shift priority from rehabilitation and relief work to election process. The Government machinery which is presently involved in the rehabilitation process will completely focus on conducting the elections that will badly affect the flood affected people throughout the state. It is a way to hide the failures of the state in pre and post flood situations.The coming winter months will be harsh for people and the preparation part being executed by Government agencies is not upto the satisfaction level. In this tough period conducting of elections is unjustifiable and unethical at the part of Election Commission of India.
