J1: President Kiir Vetoes a Controversial Unconstitutional Security Bill. #SouthSudan #SSudan The Presidents Spokesman Ateny Wek Ateny says that President Kiir has vetoed a controversial security bill on the grounds that it was unconstitutional. Ateny says the bill was sent back to Speaker Magok Rundial on the 16th of December who has passed it on to NLAs Security Committee. Of particular concern to the President was the vague definition of a crime against the State. The move has been welcomed by,dissenting MPs, South Sudan Human Rights Council, and other civil society groups. NC © 2014
