JAGUAR EXPOSES NIGERIAN MUSIC INDUSTRY HYPOCRISY Nigerians are very aggressive when it comes to marketing their own. they virtually run the continental entertainment scene. From music to movies, reality shows to international performances they own it. but how is it they manage to tap into the continental market without losing their flair back home? Kenyan superstar Jaguar recently released a remix featuring Nigerian star Iyanya, the song received some good response around here but the original had already done what it was meant to, appease Kenyans, the remix was supposed to mark Jaguar’s foray into the Nigerian market. Iyanya frustrated his efforts from the get go to the point of insisting on a Nigerian doing the video. Jaguar could not take that he took Video producer Thome to Nigeria where they shot the video, on releasing the Nigerian did not bother to push it in his back yard which is when jaguar decided to find out why. Apparently Nigerians do not listen to anything but their own so even doing collabos with them is just lopsided as it only benefits the West Africans. Nigeria has the largest population in Africa, making it a major market for entertainers but when the native ones decide to maintain a chock hold on it, why give them a slice of our own? https://youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=PGHuDtfz8Og
