JAMB 2014 EXAM UPDATE Im sure many of you have been wondering on what question types meant especially those who are sitting For this exams the very first time. Using English as an example, JAMB might decide to group their questions into for types (for example, type A,B,C and D). The major differences btw these question types is the way the questions are being arranged. For example, the question 2 of type A might be the question 32 of type B which might also be d question 8 of type C. Normally, the first question is usually the type of paper given to u. It is usually asked in this form. 1. Which question type is given to u? A. D B. C C. A D. A To answer this, just go to the top of your question, u will see the type there. Whats the effect of these question type on a particular subject?? Still using our English for example, the arrangement of the questions on type A is different frm type B, also different from type C and D. With this, it is very difficult to copy the person bside u coz ur question 10 might b his question 9. Moreover, once u shade type A as ur question type, the computer will automatically schedule ur markings based on type A as computed. If you now shade type A as ur type and go ahead to shade the answers of type B, that person may fail all. WARNING: make sure you shade the correct question type. What is the effect of question types on the whole 4 subjects?? Still using our type A,B,C,D as example, one question type cannot occur twice in ur 4 subjects combination. Simply put, all the four types must appear on ur question paper. For example, > for a combination of Eng, phy, chem, bio, these are the correct types=> Eng(C), Bio(A), Phy(D), chem(B). NEVER WILL TWO SUBJECT SHARE THE SAME QUESTION TYPE. Eg Eng(A), phy (C), Bio (C), Chem (D). ONE QUESTION TYPE CAN ONLY APPEAR ONCE IN YOUR QUESTION. Using last years exams for an example, the question types issued are (D, I, B, U) the name of Jambs registrar. The simple logic behind this is that no matter the subject u register, it must form DIBU. If not, youve missed it automatically. For example, Collins blake who registered English, bio, chem and phy, (note, the subjects u register will be arranged in alphabetical order except english). >English first with type D >Biology second with type I >Chemistry third with type B >Physics last with type U. NOTE: if ur type doesnt follow as above, na failure be dat o. Omojumoke Kemi who registered Eng, Maths, Phys, chem. >English first with type D >Chemistry second with type I >Mathematics third with type B >Physics last with type U. NOTE THAT: the chemistry of Collins and that of Kemi will be different. If they therefore copy themselves, na failure. Two years ago, the types they used are colours(BLUE, GREEN, RED.....)
