DEEPSEA CHALLENGE 3D follows James Cameron and members of his team as he makes history 7 miles beneath the surface, encased in a tiny 109cm steel ball. As a boy, James Cameron dreamed of a journey to the deepest part of the ocean. DEEPSEA CHALLENGE 3D offers a rare glimpse into this realisation and the dedication and passion he shared with the mission’s international team, against all odds and amidst personal tragedy, to take on the seemingly impossible task. At 10,900 metres (7 miles) deep, exploring the Mariana Trench is the ocean equivalent of scaling Everest or landing on the moon.
