JAMES RANCH 6/30/2013 Zac DE Clerk and Emily Copeland- Zac DE Clerk started his interest in music at a young age. At the age of eight, he only took guitar lessons for two years when he realized that his talent to play just came naturally. He continued to play guitar, but only got the courage to showcase his singing ability in front of a crowd after he was convinced to join the youth praise band at church at the age of 16. After much positive feedback, he realized his gift, and his love and passion for not only music but singing grew. He has since become a serious musician with an ear for music. Emily Copeland started singing at the age of three in church and by age six she was singing for school productions and fundraisers. At the age of eleven she was cast as Annie in a musical at a local theater. She began writing music at twelve and learned how to play guitar at fifteen years old. Being on stage with a guitar made everything much more enjoyable, and that’s when her desire to be a musician/song writer became very serious. She has written several songs and has quite a unique style of music. Zac and Emily are a young talented singing duo that although classmates in high school, didn’t begin performing together until a fellow classmate asked them to sing in her wedding in 2011. After singing the first song, they realized that they each had a separate talent that could only compliment the other. Although teaming up only a short time ago, they harmonize as if they have been singing together for years, singing mostly country and country-folk, doing covers for Brad Paisley, Civil Wars, Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, etc. They have played at several local community festivals, fundraisers, weddings and various other venues. Their goal is to take their music to the next level.
