JAMIE UPDATE: Last week Jamie visited an amazing veterinary surgical specialist. It was determined that he most likely has permanent nerve damage. We are trying physical therapy for 2 weeks to see if he can get some mobility back in that forearm. If he does, we may try to splint it and see if he can learn to walk on it correctly. His follow up visit is scheduled for the middle of next week. If not, we are looking at the possibility of amputating that leg. Dont worry - if that is what is determined to be best for Jamie, he will bounce back fast and live out a great life on 3 legs! As you can imagine visits to the specialist and the prospect of an expensive surgery can really add up.
